Kirsten Montgomery B.Sc Dr. Ac

Registered Acupuncturist/Owner

Kirsten has been practicing in Wetaskiwin since 2006, and she loves it!  She excels at treating pain whether from a recent issue or something chronic, she knows the importance of getting to the root of the problem.  She has taken additional training in treating musculoskeletal issues.  She loves combining an eastern and western approach to acupuncture. Kirsten is available for treatments at both Leduc and Wetaskiwin clinics.

Rebecca Beller
Dr. Ac

Registered Acupuncturist

Becca graduated from Macewan Acupuncture program with Distinction in 2018. Her focus is on treating the body holistically and getting to the root of the problem. She incorporates needling, cupping, Gua sha and soft tissue work into her treatments! She loves getting to know her patients and helping them become the healthiest version of themselves! She has done extra courses on women's health, supplements and nutrition and more! Becca is available for treatments at both Leduc and Wetaskiwin clinics. When not at work she is cuddling at home with her dog and cat.

Monna Hansen
Dr. Ac

Registered Acupuncturist

Monna graduated from the acupuncture program at MacEwan University in 2022 and is currently completing a Bachelor of Science at Athabasca University.  

Her journey in acupuncture has seen her treating babies to seniors, from soothing arthritis to banishing zits.  Each treatment is tailored to meet your unique needs using a combination of acupuncture, tuina massage, guasha, fire cupping and more.  She enjoys using all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine to leave you feeling heard and with a clear wellness plan that fits your individual needs.  Trauma informed care and consent is at the heart of my practice, and I am dedicated to working around limitations to ensure you are comfortable every step of the way.

She also has specialized practical training in treating facial conditions such as Bell’s palsy, TMJ, trigeminal neuralgia, and facial tics.  She is available for treatments in both Leduc and Wetaskiwin.

 

When she's not studying or working, you can find her biking with my dogs, camping under the stars, or swimming at the lake.

Tarynn Dux RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Tarynn was born and raised in Wetaskiwin. She attended the U of A in 2008 for where she studied Kinesiology and MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Edmonton to obtain her 2200 Hour RMT Diploma. She has a passion for seeing clients meet their goals of living an active and pain free life. She has done extensive TMJ training. She has recently been trained in Shockwave therapy and is excited to use this innovative modality to help with chronic pain! Tarynn is available for treatments at our Wetaskiwin clinic.

Breeanna Blakeburn RMT (currently on maternity leave)

Breeanna is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated in 2019 from Makami College from the 3000hr Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program. She believes that massage therapy can be a great tool in the relief of stress, pain and to help improve the overall quality of life. She is experienced in deep tissue therapeutic massage, as well as dynamic cupping. She is excited to help clients live pain free.

Breeanna is at our Wetaskiwin location five days a week!

Tamara Nemec RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Tamara finished her massage training at the Alberta Institute of Massage in June of 2022 and is excited to continue her learning in her practice.  She believes every client should walk out feeling better than when they arrived, whether the treatment is targeting relaxation or pain management and an open line of communication between the client and herself is the best way to achieve this.  She is trained in cupping which can be added to any treatment. She has also done extensive TMJ training and a trigeminal nerve course. She is available at our Wetaskiwin Clinic.

Greetings, my name is April and I am a recent graduate from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy in Edmonton. As a passionate and dedicated massage therapist, I consider this career path to be my dream job. I am committed to crafting personalized massage treatments that cater to the unique needs of each of my clients. Drawing from my expertise in both therapeutic and relaxation massage, I also enjoy incorporating essential oils to enhance the healing experience and I am trained in Raindrop Therapy.I also use cupping and Gua sha during my treatments. When I am not practicing massage therapy, I enjoy practicing yoga and spending time with my two feline companions.

My journey began as a client and believer in the value of good health.  Since I've known Refresh Wellness Centre, massage therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic treatment have been my healing touch. I am a fully certified massage therapist who is skilled in a variety of massage techniques such as deep tissue, relaxation, therapeutic, and hot stone massage, as well as cupping techniques.

 

Listening to the needs of the client and devoting my knowledge, talents, and complete understanding to serve their best interests as I assist their health and well-being.  In my free time, I participate in numerous sports and outdoor activities, such as basketball, badminton, and running, as well as hiking, climbing, and downhill long boarding. Jib is available for treatments in Wetaskiwin.

Chloe Connolly

Registered Massage Therapist (currently on maternity leave)

Chloe graduated from Alberta Institute of Massage in January of 2022, she graduated with Directors Honours and the Fellow Student award. Chloe strives to work with excellence as well as create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for her clients. Her desire is to help people the best she can as an RMT by using a collaborative approach with her co-workers to serve others the best they can as a team. Her instincts, thorough instruction, and heart of compassion guide her well while treating every client’s unique needs.
Myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy, deep transverse frictions, and joint mobilizations are her go to techniques. She is also passionate about mobility work, fascial physiology and treatments, and maternity massage. She makes sure to inform her clients of what they can be doing at home to prolong the benefits of a massage and take care of their body in a way only an individual can. And then sometimes…there’s nothing quite like a relaxation massage to calm the body and the mind.
In her time outside of work Chloe loves to read, weight lift, fish, hangout with her favourite people, sew, be an Aunty to 2 sweet kiddos, and be married (as of July 2024!).

Dr. Todd Kauffeldt DC

Dr. Todd Kauffeldt graduated in 1992 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors degree in Athletic Therapy, and then furthered his education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 1999. He has been practicing in Wetaskiwin since 2000. Although he has a special interest in sports injuries, he treats patients from all types of backgrounds incorporating a unique whole-body approach. He takes a proactive patient-centred approach to care with the goals of reducing pain, restoring function and hopefully preventing further injury. Todd is available for treatments at our Wetaskiwin clinic.

Dr.Lynnelle Mahé DC

Dr. Lynnelle Mahé is an evidence-based and patient-centered practitioner, meaning she always takes the individual needs and experiences of each client into consideration when implementing a treatment plan, while staying up to date on new and evolving scientific evidence. 

Dr. Mahé encourages her clients to take an active part in their treatment, from education about their bodies and how injuries arise, to identifying lifestyle factors that can also be managed at home and work to prolong the effects of treatment. 

She practices with diversified technique including adjustments and mobilizations of the spine and extremities, soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription, taping, lifestyle, and nutritional advice. Dr. Mahé always wants her clients to feel heard, cared for, and that they get a well-rounded treatment with each visit. 

When not working with clients, Dr. Lynnelle enjoys staying active and being in nature, playing video games, advocating for causes close to her heart, and letting loose with loved ones. She is available for treatment at our Leduc location.

Melissa Matiko

Fascial Stretch Therapy

Melissa is a Level 2 Frederick Stretch Therapy Practitioner certified through Stretch to Win. Melissa was introduced to FST when her horse riding coach became a certified practitioner. The method was so beneficial for Melissa's body that she chose to become certified herself. By adding assisted stretching to her fitness resume which previously included personal training and group fitness instructing, Melissa now has the joy of helping her clients maintain and improve their body's mobility. When Melissa is not doing stretch sessions with clients, she is likely either with her husband Ted, horses Bayberry & Bocelli or is in a room accompanied by at least one of their three cats (Monster, Bug & Charlie).
